Year 7 is a very important transition year in your son’s education. At St James College we are very aware of this and have instituted a comprehensive Induction and Orientation Program in order to ensure a very comfortable entry into St James College. The Induction Program commences when students are in Grade 6.
Schedule of Transition Evenings/Activities
- July/August/September: ‘Afternoon Tea with the Principal’
- August: Diagnostic Testing Morning
- October: Information Evening for all incoming Year 7 Families
- October/November: Year 7 Coordinator Transition Meetings with relevant Primary School staff
- December: Orientation Day for Year 7 students
- January/February: Year 7 Commencement
- February: Peer Support Program commences
- March: Year 7 Camp
