Over the course of four years from Years 7 to 10, our young men are engaged in a comprehensive program of Religious Education which is drawn from five strands of study.

  • Scripture and Jesus
  • Church and Community
  • God, religion and Life
  • Prayer, Liturgy and Sacraments
  • Morality and Justice

The Religious Education program at St James is also a reflection on the Catholic Identity of the College. There are numerous opportunities in which our students and staff are able to gather to celebrate and also to develop and live out their faith, a love of God embodied in a truly Lasallian spirit.

  • Whole school Masses
  • Homeroom/Class Liturgies
  • Weekly Staff Meditation
  • Weekly Whole School Meditation
  • Friday Lunchtime Meditation
  • Daily Homeroom Prayer
  • Year Level Assemblies and Prayer
  • Year Level Retreats
  • Lasallian Youth Leaders volunteering for Joey’s Van
  • Lasallian Youth Leaders Training Day at St Bede’s
  • St Yon Crew (Years 7-9) Social Justice Group Meetings
  • St Yon Crew assisting with Project Compassion for Caritas

St James College is a vibrant and living example of the words of our patron, St James the Apostle;
“Faith without good works is meaningless”
